Trinity seeks a lay person to serve as our full-time Director of Children and Family Ministries. Our
ideal candidate is a person who can nurture a sense of belonging in children and families, know how
to teach and understand how children learn, be creative and energetic, organize and inspire
volunteers, exhibit proficient organizational and technological skills, and work collaboratively with
others. We use Godly Play at Trinity, and our Director must be familiar with and invested in this
curriculum. Our Director of Children and Family Ministries will be a person who loves people, has
an active personal spiritual life, has strong relational skills, and is a self-starter who can manage
multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.
Responsibilities include:
● Overseeing all activities related to children from birth through 5th grade
● Recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers for Sunday school and other programs, and
overseeing our Nursery Supervisor
● Maintaining integrity of classroom appearance, functionality, bulletin boards, etc., including
ordering, obtaining, and restocking materials as needed
● Selecting and implementing curriculum for all children’s programming
● Planning special annual events like Vacation Bible School, Advent wreath making, children’s
Christmas pageant, Easter egg hunts, etc.
● Planning family-wide, multi-generational activities
● Leading weekly children’s worship
● Assisting with children’s choir
● Leading and coordinating monthly activities for junior youth group (3rd-5th graders)
● Communicating effectively with parish families
● Nurturing an environment of acceptance and inclusivity so that ALL children may
experience the love and grace of God
● Attending weekly staff meetings
● Maintaining Episcopal church protocols and practices for children’s safety.
Trinity provides flexibility with regard to the workday, since some children and family programming
occurs outside regular hours. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Qualifications
A four-year degree, preferably in Education or a related field; OR extensive work experience in
related fields that involve the skills needed in curriculum planning and implementation and an
understanding of child development. Completion of Godly Play Core Training strongly preferred.
Compensation
Compensation commensurate with experience.

The Executive Pastor is supervised by the Senior Pastor, serving as an administrative leader, chief operating officer, and chief financial officer. Salary will be commensurate with experience and will be discussed later in the interview process. Funds for health insurance and housing allowance are included in the overall compensation package. Director of Junior High Youth Ministry: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Ridgewood, NJ seeks full-time director for approx. 270 students in grades 7 & 8 to join its Youth Ministry Department. Live Oak Community Church is seeking a full-time Kids Ministry Director.
Live Oak Community Church (www.live-oak.org) is a growing congregation of over 900 people located in the West Texas city of Lubbock. Lubbock is a town of over 250,000 people and the home of several colleges, including Texas Tech University.
Live Oak views this staffing position as strategically vital role in achieving the mission of Making More and Stronger followers of Jesus. The Kids Ministry Director role would be responsible for leading Kids Ministry volunteers serving with grades Kindergarten-5th Grade.
This position is responsible for the oversight, development, and growth of the adult leaders including developing new leaders and group opportunities. This individual would work closely with the Pastor of Next Gen Ministry in helping individuals onboard into serving opportunities throughout the Kids Ministry. The Director of Kids Ministry would also oversee the curriculum implementation for the specified age groups. Finally, the position would be responsible for helping students and leaders connect to their next steps in their discipleship journey of following Christ.
