Worship Pastor

General Summary of the Position:

The Campus Worship Director at Grace Español exists to carry out our Core Value of Worship at the Grace Español Campus. This includes both the corporate and personal aspects of living a Romans 12:1 life of worshiping Jesus Christ.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with the Grace Español Campus Pastor, Grace Español staff, Senior Worship Pastor, and Grace global worship staff to program, organize, and execute weekly worship services.
• Lead the music portion of the services and run weekly rehearsals.
• Work with the Worship Department Coordinator to prepare slides for Sunday morning worship services.
• Lead, recruit, and develop (musically & spiritually) an all-volunteer worship team for the Grace Español Campus.
• Work with the Audio/Visual department on sound, lighting, projection, & stage design.
• Explore new expressions of praise and worship and employ elements as appropriate.
• Facilitate “extra” worship services as needed. (e.g. Christmas Eve, Good Friday...etc.)
• Communicate well and be timely and organized with weekly responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Grace Español campus leadership beyond the worship department. (e.g. Help identify and train small group leaders, help develop a Men’s Ministry strategy for Grace Español…etc.)
• Assist Campus Pastor in recruiting and developing leaders for Grace Español.
• Assist Campus Pastor with design and execution of weekly campus meetings.
• Align with the theological doctrine and core beliefs of Grace Community Church.

Skills and Abilities:

• Speak, read, and lead worship fluently in both Spanish & English.
• Speak effectively from the stage.
• Sing in-tune and with appropriate style.
• Play guitar or piano with proficiency.
• Program, read, and arrange music.
• Lead rehearsals of instrumentalists and vocalists.
• Train musicianship into band members as needed.
• Be willing to learn new musical styles.
• Be willing to write original material in a collaborative environment.
• Organize and facilitate small group development.

Education, Training, Experience:

• College degree.
• 3 years experience of leading worship.
• Familiar with Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, Google Drive…etc.

Work or Ministry Team Context:

This position reports directly to the Sr. Worship Pastor, and serves the vision of the Grace Español Campus Pastor. It is based out of the Tyler Offices of Grace Community Church and expected on-site at the Grace Español Campus on Sunday mornings.
