Serve as the manager of the Bambi Lake Retreat and Conference Center in residence at the camp. The camp manager is responsible for the administration of the camp and for assuring the care, safety and protection of campers.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age
Must be a committed Christian, a member of a local church and doctrinally in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Must have proven experience and skill in working with church leaders.
Possesses a contagious Christian testimony
Must have experience in camp settings
Professional Qualifications:
Have administrative/management experience in organized camp or similar program
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Skilled in strategic thinking and planning, budgeting, team building and personal development as an individual.
Specific Duties:
Oversee the total operations of the camp facility including lodging facilities, food services, housekeeping, registration, bookkeeping, maintenance and public relations.
Working with the trustees, plan and manage an annual budget.
Recruit and manage all salaried, hourly and volunteer personnel.
Oversee the scheduling and registration of events and campers.
Provide for an “on call” availability for a staff member during camp events
Anticipate and strategize with Trustees to meet future needs for upkeep and improvement of camp facilities.
Relate to all local, township and state government agencies.
Submit all financial, attendance reports and other information/data to the trustees as requested.
Relationships
Responsible directly to the Bambi Lake Board of Trustees
Maintain a positive working relationship with the churches and leadership of the Baptist State Convention of Michigan
Expectations
Is an active member of a local Southern Baptist church.
Be active in fundraising and work with the Bambi Lake Advancement team
Must have a heart for sharing the love of Christ with people of all ages and stages, caring for them as Jesus would.
