Student Ministries Boy's Leader - Part Time High School
The Student Ministries Boy's Leader is responsible for the spiritual leadership and development of ministries aimed at 9th-12th grade boys. He will collaborate with the OP Student Ministries team to provide a cohesive and Christ- centered ministry across the High School years. The Student Ministry Boy's Leader will help organize the opening of the Light House as a hangout space for Students 1-2 days a week. He will help teach and mentor students, foster discipleship, and equip ministry partners and parents. This is a part time position with a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a personal devotional life, prayer, an exemplary Christian character, and personal spiritual growth.
Uphold the mission and the integrity of the Students Ministries at Colonial and Colonial Presbyterian Church as a whole.
Invest time and energy in initiating and cultivating relationships with 9th-12th grade boys to help them grow in their understanding of and application of the Gospel.
Help plan and participate in major events (camps, retreats, mission trips, conferences, summer seminars, confirmation) for HS as requested by the Student Ministries Director.
Help Build ministry opportunities and relationships that reach beyond Colonial into the community.
Serve at all church or whole-campus outreach initiatives.
Sunday Morning Responsibilities:
Attend 9am worship services with intentional engagement toward welcoming and connecting new students.
Attend and help run SML (Sunday Morning Live -Student Ministries Programming) on a weekly basis.
Assist in providing solid biblical teaching tailored to the needs of students or SML programming as needed.
Oversee High School boys Sunday morning small groups by helping recruit, train and support Ministry Partners who will guide the boys in deeper spiritual discussions.
Mid-Week Gatherings
Attend midweek gatherings for HS
Assist in providing solid biblical teaching tailored to the needs of students or programming of the mid-week gatherings as needed.
Oversee High School boy's mid- week small groups by helping recruit, train and support Ministry Partners who will guide the boys in deeper spiritual discussions.
Discipleship
Maintain an intentional discipling relationship with a spiritually mature mentor.
Help recruit and supervise HS Ministry partners who can help mentor, disciple, and teach students one-on-one, or in small group settings.
Responsible for creating, cultivating, and sustaining personal relationships with students (9-12) with the goal of introducing them to Jesus Christ or to help them to grow in their walk with the Lord.
Help Train HS student leaders, OP Summer Staffers, and ministry partners to share their faith with non-believers.
Coordinate the opening of the Light House 1-2 days a week for students to gather and hang out.
Community/Relationship Building
Responsible for developing positive, healthy relationships with parents and other adults involved in the OP Students Ministries.
Raise up student leaders within the community and help them begin to utilize their spiritual gifts.
Create a welcoming environment at the Light House for all students.

Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour
