Job Title: NextGen Pastor
Status: Full-time, exempt
Direct Report: Executive Pastor
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Heritage Church is a multi-site and multi-generational church in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are passionate about helping people find and follow God in a way that is authentic and relevant to our culture today. We create environments, ministries, and programming with un-churched people in mind. We want to manage the tension of helping people feel at home in their search for Christ and be a place where believers are thriving in their faith. To do this we are intentional about creating engaging environments for authentic biblical community that mobilize people to live on mission.
The NextGen Pastor will work directly with the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor to shape the culture of Heritage Church by envisioning new and exciting ways to reach young people. This individual will lead an existing staff made up of hard-working and caring men and women and a volunteer team who is eager to grow to help kids and students find and follow Jesus. This leader comes with experience in and a passion for reaching the next generation and their families with creative and engaging solutions to an ever-changing culture. They approach ministry with positivity and belief rather than doubt and skepticism. They advocate and care for their needs and have devoted their life’s mission to seeing them find and follow Jesus. They will work in a church who truly sees young people not as the church of tomorrow, but as the church of today.
