Title: Ministry Coordinator, Part-time (25 hrs./wk.)

Reports to: Pastor

Location: St. Peter the Apostle Parish

Classification: Salaried/Exempt

Overview
The role of the part-time Ministries Coordinator is to assist the parish by coordinating the various ministers that serve the church, particularly Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors. Additionally, this person help train new ministers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinates Baptismal Preparation registration.
• Assists with implementation of Adult Faith Formation (Bible Study).
• Assists with OCIA.
• Coordinate and Train Eucharistic Ministers for Mass and to the homebound.
• Create the quarterly schedule for Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers.
• Train Lectors twice per year,
• Ensure that EM and Lector Safe Environment records are up to date in ParishSoft.
• Maintain rosters and contact lists of EM's and Lectors.
• Coordinate Ushers and identify lead ushers to assist the Parish.
• Identify volunteers and new ministerial needs in the parish.
• Act as the bridge between the staff and ministries.
• Welcomes and directs visitors and parishioners.
• Answers, screens when necessary, and transfers phone calls accurately and courteously.
• Schedule volunteers for office and various ministries in the parish.
• Assists parishioners with inquiries, distributing registration forms and other documents.
• Assist staff in coordinating parish functions and other related duties as assigned by the Business Manager.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar administrative role.
• Previous church employment/experience extremely helpful.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual would be preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must pass DOV assigned level II FDLE background check.
