Core Competencies

Attention to detail and strength in administrative execution, paired with the ability to think strategically. A genuine eye for visual content and an understanding of how people actually use Instagram and Facebook, including Stories, Reels, and carousel posts. Comfortable writing short form, on brand copy for captions and posts. Enjoys creating welcoming environments and connecting with people.

Job Summary

To assist and support the Executive Pastor of Worship and Creative with a role split evenly between two functions: managing Definition Church's social media presence, and providing administrative and strategic support to the Executive Pastor and Department. The goal is to accelerate the mission of the church, and grow its relational reach and influence.

Key Responsibilities: Social Media Manager

• Build and maintain a content calendar for Instagram and Facebook, aligned with sermon series, church events, and the church calendar.
• Write, schedule, and publish posts, Stories, and Reels.
• Create graphics and short form video edits for posts using Creative Cloud applications
• Coordinate with the Creative Team, including the Graphic Designer and Video Producer, to source and request assets for scheduled content.
• Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a timely, on brand voice.
• Track performance in Meta Business Suite and report engagement trends to the Creative Director monthly.
• Maintain a consistent visual and written brand voice across all social channels.

• Capture photos and video at Sunday services and church events for use across social channels.

Key Responsibilities: Executive Assistant

• Serve as the first point of contact for the Executive Pastor and the Worship and Creative Department.
• Maintain the Executive Pastor's calendar; schedule meetings, conferences, and retreats.
• Schedule and plan travel as needed.
• Attend and take minutes for meetings as requested by the Executive Pastor.
• Maintain regular correspondence with partner organizations, churches, and ministry relationships.
• Work with vendors and service providers on Worship and Creative Department projects.

• Any other responsibilities as given by the Executive Pastor, Worship and Creative.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist in event planning for Definition Church, the Worship Team and Creative Team

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 1+ year serving on a serve team in any position of leadership
• Completed Freedom group or willingness to complete a Freedom group

Preferred Qualifications

Education

• A four-year bachelor’s degree
• Additional ministry or seminary training

Experience

• 1+ year attendance at Definition Church or ARC Church
• Experience managing social media for a brand, ministry, or organization.
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and a design tool such as Canva, or Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere.

Performance Metrics & Expectations

• Execution of Administrative tasks promptly
• Engagement in the life of Definition Church (Groups, Serving, Leading)
• Content calendar adherence and posting consistency across Instagram and Facebook.
• Engagement rate and response time to comments and messages.
• Initiative to help in different areas of the Worship and Creative Department
• Meeting Task Deadlines
