Position Summary: The Site Director’s primary responsibility is leading and facilitating mentorship of 25-35 gap year students. OneLife students live in a Gospel-centered community where they grow in faith and biblical knowledge (developing a Christian worldview), learn practical life skills, travel domestically and internationally, and earn up to 30 college credits.
The Site Director will need to be proactive and a self-starter. He or she will have a deep desire to see students grow in their relationship with God and knowledge of God’s Word. Words associated with a Site Director include leader, shepherd, teacher, counselor, passionate, organized, and a team player.
A Site Director is passionate about helping young adults move from a stagnant faith in God, to a dynamic personal faith in Jesus and shift from a self-centered follower to an “others-centered” servant leader.
A Site Director is a crucial position that supports the mission and vision of OneLife through Shepherding & Discipleship, Program Planning & Execution, as well as Leading & Building Site Staff Team & Partner Relationships. The Site Director is a full-time position reporting to the Program Director.
SHEPHERDING & DISCIPLESHIP
- Result #1: Create a space and a culture for spiritual growth to take place.
- Result #2: Develop and execute a strategic plan for discipleship ministry for students (co-ed)
- Result #3: Teach and apply Biblical content in class settings, large and small group discussions, and through one-to-one student care.
PROGRAM PLANNING & EXECUTION
- Result #4: Foster a vibrant learning environment as the academic director in alignment with student course outcomes (includes classroom content, experiential learning, creating and grading assignments).
- Result #5: Orchestrate seamless program planning and execution, aligning student outcomes with actionable strategies in experiential learning & weekly rhythms.
- Result #6: Craft unforgettable travel experiences that foster enriching student experiences and lifelong memories. Travel with students to a variety of destinations (inner-city, wilderness, and overseas).
LEADING & BUILDING SITE STAFF TEAM & PARTNER RELATIONSHIPS
- Result #7: Site Staff Team is being challenged to grow in their ability to lead.
- Result #8: Ongoing Management & Accountability rhythms demonstrate excellence in the oversight and leadership of the Assistant Site Director and Resident Leaders in their connected roles in discipleship.
- Result #9: Achieve robust program partnerships by facilitating clear communication and active engagement with speakers, ministry partners, and OneLife site partners.
- Result #10: Strong partnerships between parents by ensuring effective communication, addressing parental concerns, and facilitating a supportive educational environment.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Result #11: Budgeted financial resources are stewarded with excellence; participation in organization fundraising.
- Result #12: Partners with the Director of Enrollment in Student Recruitment
- Result #13: Partners with the Director of Operations to fulfill Hiring needs.
- Result #14: Organization goals and tactics are updated and measured quarterly to accomplish the mission and vision of OneLife. (Traction EOS, Big Rocks, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Have a growing relationship as a disciple of Jesus and a desire to see lives changed by the
Gospel. - Self-aware with a high EQ; situationally aware and flexible.
- High level of initiative and ability to take a proactive approach to work, performs job duties on
time with excellence. - Team player: low drama, high-momentum, high-capacity, creative-can-do-whatever-it-takes
attitude. - Commitment to ongoing personal & professional leadership growth.
- Master’s Degree is recommended, along with 5+ years of experience in youth or college
ministry and/or mentoring and discipleship-focused ministry
