Position Summary

The Youth Pastor will provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and discipleship to students in middle school and high school. This role involves developing a Christ-centered youth ministry that engages students, partners with parents, and builds up future leaders for the church and community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a vision for youth ministry aligned with the mission of Grace Church.

• Lead weekly gatherings that are biblically grounded, relevant, and engaging.

• Recruit, train, and disciple adult volunteers to serve in youth ministry.

• Provide pastoral care and mentoring for students and their families.

• Plan retreats, service projects, and mission opportunities for students.

• Partner with parents to equip them as primary disciplers of their teens.

• Collaborate with the pastoral staff to integrate students into the life of the larger church.

Qualifications

• A vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Passion for reaching and discipling students.

• Strong teaching and communication skills.

• Ability to recruit, train, and lead teams of volunteers.

• Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or related field (seminary preferred).

• 2–4 years of experience in youth ministry or related pastoral leadership.

Reporting

The Youth Pastor will report directly to the Lead Pastor and work in partnership with the rest of the church staff.
