About this Role:
This role would be responsible for leading our middle and high School youth and developing a team of people who are passionate about working with our middle and high school students and equipping them with the connections and resources to develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus. We believe that youth are an integral and important part of our church community. They are current and future members of the community, capable of engaging in community through worship, serving, learning and practicing to be lifelong followers of Jesus.
Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate our High School and Middle School Youth ministries.
Identify key opportunities for specific gathering and discipling of youth at Mercy.
Work with other Mercy Vineyard ministries to incorporate our youth into every part of our church community.
Recruit, Develop and Lead a team of leaders that are called to build relationships with our youth, utilize their gifts and work together to teach, lead and welcome our youth into our community.
Collaborate with the Kids' Ministry team to develop a holistic plan for setting up middle and high school students to build and develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus.
Execute Youth Connect and Discipleship gatherings and events
Build an atmosphere and provide opportunities for prayer and worship with our teens.
Work with high school students to build a transition to finding and serving in a church after high school.
Other duties as assigned.

Passionate about the vision and mission of Mercy Vineyard Church.
Passionate about using his/her gifts to minister to the congregation.
Exhibits the Fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.
Lives out a commitment to prayer and the study of God's word.
Spiritually mature yet committed to continued spiritual growth and being in community with other believers.
Personal Abilities & Characteristics:
Proven ability to lead leaders and develop others.
Possess the ability to be organized and multi-task proficiently, while also being an excellent problem-solver.
Able to work collaboratively.
Reliable, trustworthy, and excellent at following through on details.
Able to use appropriate judgment, discretion, and sensitivity and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Is a "doer" - able to execute given tasks and vision.
Able to handle conflict in a Godly manner.
Strong people skills and team player.
Experience & Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred
2-5 years of experience in ministry
Experience working with the 12-18 age group
Metrics:
Participate in performance reviews every six months based on work related to this job description and the metrics below. Salary review once a year.
