Worship Leader - Part-Time

Campus - Lakewood Park (Fort Pierce)

Position Overview: Leads and serves the Music Ministry department by assisting the Lead Worship Pastor and Campus Pastor(s)/Director(s) in advancing the vision for corporate worship at Family Church.

Direct Leader: Campus Pastor

Matrix Leader: Lead Worship Pastor for Network

Prerequisites
  • Ability to meet all minimum eligibility requirements to be a member of Family Church.
  • Affirm the FCN statements of belief and practices as codified in our organizational bylaws and detailed in the Baptist Faith and Message confessional statement of 2000.
  • Maintain a close and healthy walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Maintain a high standard of excellence and moral character.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow.
  • Professional and positive demeanor.
  • Record of consistent, high-level performance.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with ProPresenter, Finale, ProTools, Ableton Live, Planning Center Online, DropBox or related tools is preferred.

General Responsibilities
  • Manage ministry contacts through phone calls, text messages, emails, letters, etc.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for campus and/or ministry areas.
  • Manage and effectively prioritizing personal workflow.
  • Manage personal and ministry-area expenses to ensure they meet approved guidelines and annual amounts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a stressful work environment.
  • Maintain a cooperative spirit by assisting others when needed or requested.
  • Communicate effectively with leaders, peers, members, and guests.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of church resources including supplies, equipment, intellectual property, etc.
  • Understand and adhere to procedural guidelines and policies.
  • Attend required staff meetings, membership classes, planning sessions, retreats, and special events.
  • Encourage and advance the Family Church culture in all its expressions.

Role-Specific Responsibilities
  • Prepare, produce and lead musical component for campus worship services.
  • Provide Biblical discipleship opportunities for praise team members and musicians.
  • Identify, recruit and train platform leaders, musicians, vocalists, and technicians.
  • Collaborate with the Campus Pastor(s)/Director(s) to develop creative and meaningful worship services by coordinating creative elements with connectivity and continuity between the sermon and music.
  • Research new expressions of praise and worship and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Coordinate related activities for worship services including, clicks and loops, slide decks for presentation software (ProPresenter), etc.
  • Sing the expressions of worship outlined in the "Big 30" list. The majority of songs each week (3 of 4, 4 of 5, etc.) must be from the "Big 30" list.
  • Schedule all band and tech team members for each worship service, including weekly rehearsals and worship service sound checks.
  • Assist campus leadership in developing ministry relationships with all members, regular attenders and guests.
