Worship Leader (Part-Time)

Central Christian Church is seeking a passionate and gifted individual to serve as our Worship Leader. This is a paid, part-time position ideal for someone looking to serve the local church by using their musical and leadership talents-primarily on weekends.

Overview:

The Worship Leader will lead our worship team with excellence and spiritual integrity, ensuring that Christ remains at the center of everything that we do. This role is responsible for leading Sunday morning worship, coordinating team members, and contributing creatively to the planning and execution of our services. A strong candidate will be musically skilled (preferably on guitar), organized, and spiritually mature.

Expectations:

Hours: 15 hours a week

Vacation: 30 hours a year (equivalent to two weeks)

Reports to: The Senior Minister

Responsibilities:

• Leading worship weekly- Lead the congregation in Christ-centered, engaging worship each Sunday morning through music and prayer.
• Musical ability- Must be able to lead vocally; strong preference for someone who can also play guitar.
• Team Leadership & Coordination- Organize and lead weekly worship team practice. Communicate clearly with team members, ensuring each person knows their role in the service.
• Spiritual Leadership- Set a tone of humility and Christ-centeredness for the worship team, encouraging spiritual growth and unity.
• Creative Planning- Participate as a key member of the church’s creative planning team to help plan meaningful worship sets and service elements in alignment with the message and church calendar.
• Administrative Communication- Communicate the weekly worship set list and team members (who’s singing/playing) in timely manner to the Senior Minister and Church Secretary.
• Team Organization: Help recruit, equip, and schedule worship team volunteers. Maintain an organized rotation and music schedule.

Qualifications:

• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and beliefs of Central Christian Church.
• Vocal ability and experience leading worship (guitar skills strongly preferred).
• Ability to lead a team spiritually and musically.
• Reliable, organized, and communicative.
• A heart for ministry and the ability to work well with others in a church setting.

This position reports directly to the Senior Minister. This is a position requiring presence for Sunday mornings and monthly team planning meetings. Compensation will be based on experience and discussed with the Senior Minister and Elders.
