Do you feel called to walk with students in their faith journey? Can you see yourself leading a gospel-centered, relationship-driven student ministry? Are you energized by the chance to disciple and invest in 30+ students?

Lake Ridge Christian Church in Paris, Illinois is seeking a full-time Student Pastor to lead our ministry to 6th–12th grade students. We’re not looking just for a program director — we’re looking for a shepherd, a leader, and a builder. As a staff, we function as a team. We’re committed to collaboration, clear communication, and creating space for each person to lead out of their gifting. You’ll be supported by an experienced Lead Pastor, a passionate ministry team, and a group of volunteers who genuinely love students and want to serve with you.

What You'll Do

As Student Pastor, you’ll lead and shape the student ministry in a way that’s spiritually rich, relationally strong, and outwardly focused. You will:

• Disciple students by teaching God’s Word, building trust, and creating space for honest conversations and spiritual growth
• Lead weekly environments (large group and small group) that are biblically faithful, engaging, and tailored to students’ real lives
• Recruit, train, and develop volunteers — equipping others to shepherd students alongside you
• Connect with parents to support them as the primary spiritual influence in their kids’ lives
• Coordinate retreats, trips, and service opportunities that help students grow in faith and community
• Collaborate with the broader church staff to align the student ministry with the overall mission and vision of Lake Ridge

• Is relational — you connect easily with students and adults alike
• Is biblically grounded — you love God’s Word and can teach it clearly and compellingly
• Is humble and hungry — you take initiative, listen well, and are always learning
• Is organized and dependable — you follow through and communicate clearly
• Is team-minded — you know ministry is better when done together

What You Bring

Must-Haves:

• A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus
• A sense of calling to student ministry
• Experience leading or serving in a student ministry setting
• Strong communication and relational skills
• Alignment with Lake Ridge’s mission, theology, and culture

Preferred:

• Degree in ministry, theology, or a related field
• Experience building or scaling a ministry team

• Salary: $35-40,000 (Depending on Experience)
