North Rock Hill Church exists to see our world changed by the gospel—one life at a time. We're a vibrant, gospel-centered church rooted in relational discipleship and passionate about equipping people to make disciples where they live, work, eat, and play.
We are prayerfully seeking our next Student Pastor, a relational, empowering leader with strong organizational instincts and a heart for missions. This isn’t a role for a crowd-gatherer or personality-driven leader. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves students, thrives in leading through others, and is passionate about raising up the next generation of disciple-makers.
Our student ministry currently reaches about 125 middle and high school students weekly. Meeting on Wednesday nights (6–8pm), our gatherings use a master teacher model with student-led worship, games, biblical teaching (20–25 minutes), and a strong emphasis on small groups. Groups are where the real growth happens—led by 28 trained volunteer leaders, many of whom move up with their students and are mentored by the Student Pastor.
We don’t do “youth group.” We do discipleship.
Missions are central to our culture. Our students serve locally through Serve Rock Hill, regionally and internationally through fall and spring break missions, and attend summer camp. Middle school and high school students are expected to live on mission, share the gospel, and experience transformation through service.
While dynamic teaching isn’t required, the ability to communicate gospel truth clearly and facilitate group discussions is essential. The Student Pastor will also play a key role in training and mentoring interns (currently one female intern is focused on ministering to girls) and will have opportunities to lead in broader church leadership environments.
This role follows a gifted and well-loved predecessor, and while you won’t be expected to replicate him, you will be stepping into a culture that values excellence, intentionality, and empowerment. The right leader will not only sustain the current ministry but build on it—deepening discipleship and expanding mission.
If your heart beats for discipleship, your mind thrives in planning, and your passion is to see students become gospel-centered leaders, we’d love to hear from you.
Submit your resume and a cover letter (with relevant teaching or ministry links, if available) to staffing@northrockhill.com.
