Located in the heart of Amarillo, we believe in empowering the next generation to live out their faith, both locally and globally. We are seeking a Students and Young Adults Pastor to join our team and lead engaging ministries for both students (7th-12th grade) and young adults (18-30 years).

Key Responsibilities

• Student Ministry (7th-12th grade):
  • Develop and lead weekly gatherings that are engaging, relevant, and rooted in biblical teaching.
  • Plan exciting events like retreats, mission trips, and outreach opportunities to help students grow in their faith and build lasting friendships.
  • Provide pastoral care to students and their families, walking with them through life’s challenges and joys.
  • Mentor and equip volunteers, empowering them to lead and disciple students.
• Young Adults Ministry (18-30 years):
  • Build a vibrant young adult ministry that includes small group discipleship, social events, and service opportunities.
  • Foster community among young adults by creating environments where they can grow spiritually, connect relationally, and serve missionally.
  • Develop leadership pipelines for young adults to step into ministry roles within the church and community.

• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other church ministries to create a seamless integration of students and young adults into the broader life of the church.
  • Participate in the Sunday preaching rotation, contributing to the overall teaching ministry of the church.

• Relational Connector: Someone who is gifted at building relationships and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where young people can thrive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-4 years of experience in student or young adult ministry leadership.
• Strong leadership, relational, and communication skills.
• Ability to create engaging and biblically sound programs that meet the needs of students and young adults.
