Production Director

Purpose of the Job:
To lead all aspects of the services, teams, and production for History Makers Church

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Two (2) years experience in video production or broadcast environment
• Basic understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems, equipment, and concepts
• Novice Mac and PC proficiency
• Familiarity with ProPresenter, Sony Cameras , BlackMagic VideoHub, Premiere pro and various projector control interfaces preferred.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Relational and team-building skills required
• Filming & Editing socials and promo content
  
  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Manage all Central/Broadcast Production operations required to support and facilitate services and events, including:
  • Providing daily direction and pastoring to Broadcast Production staff
  • Upholding department policies regarding systems, training methods, workflow, etc.
  • Ensuring proper equipment maintenance and management
  • Coordinating interdepartmental projects
  • Engaging in long-term department planning
    
• Provide clear written and verbal direction to Production staff under supervision in regards to assignments, job expectations, and vision, while freely delegating tasks and projects
• Oversee and manage all services and events such as youth nights,prayer nights, Conferences and pop up events.
• Serve as primary department liaison with Audio, Worship, Lighting, Screens and Creative teams in relation to service planning and execution
• Attend planning meetings as needed for services and events that originate in the Main Auditorium
• Oversee and approve Broadcast paperwork, including invoices, Purchase Requests, and Check Requests
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of all broadcast equipment and computers
• Oversee all digital archives of services and events
• Obtain equipment quotes and facilitate purchases and rentals with vendors as needed
• Assist as needed in oversight of Production practicum students; aid in mentoring, training, and coaching students
• Serve as Live Video Director for services and events as needed
• Ensure participation by Broadcast staff in weekly Dream Team training process as needed
• Nurture and maintain relationships with equipment vendors, while actively pursuing relationships with potential new vendors
• Oversee creation and maintenance of a database of checklists, logs, and troubleshooting documents for usage in service preparation and equipment maintenance
• Actively research new products, equipment, and solutions through active usage of blogs, web forums, equipment manuals, publications, etc.
• Helping to oversee the film department
  

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the film department by way of editing and shooting content for social and internal use.
• Assist with production equipment setup and operation for all services
• Operate production booth equipment or camera positions as needed during regular weekly services, retreats, conferences, and special events
• Assist other departments with production and/or production equipment support
• Help manage and run production equipment during special events, retreats, and conferences
• Assist in post-production editing and archiving of recorded services and events
• Assist with management of volunteer training sessions as needed
• Participate in organization-wide events
• Lead or co-lead a Small Group

• Equipment repair, maintenance, or installation at all campuses as needed
