Next Gen Pastor

The Next Gen Pastor will give leadership, vision, direction and oversight to ministries from birth through High School. We are looking for an energetic and gospel motivated pastor to lead our next generation ministries into it’s best days. This role requires visionary leadership, the ability to train, motivate and deploy volunteer leaders to front line ministries, and a strong value on making disciples. Leaders with a robust sense of strategy and development will thrive in this role as we are looking for a candidate who will not just be “in the trenches” of the ministry, but spend their time developing strategy and implementing vision through his leadership teams and volunteers. Gracepoint has experienced a lot of growth and momentum in our Next Gen ministries the last 2 years. We are looking for candidate who will be able to lead with that momentum and continue to develop a ministry that makes disciples, engages those far from God and inspires our church to invest in the next generation. Gracepoint has two very strong and dedicated leadership teams for both Kids and Student ministries. The candidate will need to work closely alongside those two teams and train, equip, and deploy them to bear fruit in their ministry roles.

Kid’s Ministry Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and oversight of Gracepoint’s Kid’s Ministry.
Recruit, vet and train volunteers for our 2 weekly Kidspoint services (9:00am & 10:45am)
Manage Curriculum development and train leaders and teachers to use it well
Work with the Kidspoint leadership team to build a strong culture and ministry plan for our Kid’s ministry
Plan Family events that help build community and connection among the families (2-4 per year)

Student Ministry Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and oversight of all of Gracepoint’s Student Ministry, “Credo”.
Plan and execute Wednesday Youth Group
Work alongside of the Credo leaders to develop and deploy each of them as disciple-makers and ministry leaders
Design a plan for parent communications and connections
Develop and lead forward an annual Student ministry plan with a focus on outreach/evangelism, discipleship, development, fellowship. This includes, but is not limited to, Wednesday night program, Bible studies, Mission trips (local and international), outreach strategies, camps, retreats, fellowships and relationship building.

Personal Expectations:

Live a personal and ministry life of integrity that is above reproach, making it your goal to live according to the expectations lined out in 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus and 1 Peter 5.
To maintain a consistent and authentic walk with Christ through personal study, prayer, worship, fasting, and the like.
To shepherd (pastor) your family well (understanding that no two weeks are the same in ministry)
To be a driven self-starter and a self-learner!
To live as a servant leader
Practice Christ-like grace, patience and forgiveness
Demonstrates a commitment to personal evangelism

Organization Description

About Gracepoint:

Gracepoint is a 5 year old church that has seen God move in great ways. Gracepoint was launched in 2019 with 35 adults and today runs a weekly attendance of nearly 350. We have seen over 120 salvations since we started and we work hard to make sure each person has a faith champion to help them grow as a disciple of Christ. We currently meet in a Junior High School. Fall of 2023 we purchased 8 ares of land in a prime location in our community. Our location puts us across the street and walking distance from 2700 students (elementary - High School) and a premier 40 acres city park, complete with soccer fields, brand new large playground, water features and a soon-to-build indoor water complex. We will break ground on a new building in the summer of 2024 with a completion date of Spring 2025. Gracepoint places a very high value on our next generation, and so our new facility is specifically designed with kids and youth as a focal point.

We are a church who values authenticity, genuineness and love for our neighbors. We are grounded in Scripture and look to that as our compass for all things.

Billings is that largest city in Montana and is a fast growing city of 122,000. Our economy has a large focus on agriculture, energy (oil and gas), retail and healthcare. Billings has 2 very large regional hospitals that serve not only our city, but the surrounding counties and states. Billings has an excellent blend of city diversity and outdoor activities close.
