Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Minister of Music to lead and inspire our congregation through the power of music and worship. In this vital role, you will cultivate a vibrant musical environment that enhances spiritual growth, fosters community engagement, and elevates our worship experience. Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive music ministry plan aligned with the church's worship themes and spiritual goals.
Lead rehearsals for choir members, musicians, and worship teams to ensure high-quality musical performances during services.
Coordinate with pastors and worship leaders to select appropriate music that complements sermons and liturgical seasons.
Mentor and nurture choir members and musicians, fostering their musical talents while encouraging spiritual growth.
Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments, sound equipment, and related resources to ensure optimal performance.
Organize special musical events, concerts, or community outreach programs that promote the church's mission through music.
Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and congregation members to foster a collaborative and inclusive musical environment.
Provide guidance on music selection that respects diverse styles while maintaining reverence for sacred traditions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in leading church or community music programs with demonstrated leadership skills.
Strong teaching ability to instruct choir members and musicians of varying skill levels.
Excellent communication skills to articulate musical concepts clearly and inspire others.
Ability to mentor individuals in their musical development while fostering teamwork within the music ministry.
Knowledge of a wide range of musical genres suitable for worship settings, including traditional hymns and contemporary styles.
Formal training or certification in music or related fields is preferred but not required; a passion for spiritual music is essential.
