Leader of Students and Family Outreach
OVERVIEW
FPC Branson is seeking an individual who is passionate about revitalizing a faith community and connecting with younger generations. Our church, located in the heart of downtown Branson with a rich 110-year history, is an aging congregation, yet deeply devoted to embracing the future through a strong commitment to students and families. This position requires a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for children and youth, and a passion to make disciples as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20. The main thrust of this position is to provide meaningful ministry for students, young singles, and families. As a ministry leader in our church, the Leader of students and Family Outreach is expected to have a regular and visible presence and participation in Sunday morning worship services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• DEMONSTRATE a passion for promoting spiritual growth of students and young families as shown by willingness to spend time with them and by offering guidance, counseling, and support to students and their families and becoming a compassionate and understanding presence in their lives.
• DEVELOP and implement creative outreach strategies to connect with students and families in the community outside our church walls, bring them into our congregation, and connect them to FPC students and families.
• ENCOURAGE, nurture, and manage volunteer involvement with children, students, and young families.
• COLLABORATE with church staff and leaders to integrate students and young families into the life of the church.
• COORDINATE and lead Sunday School and children’s activities ensuring they align with FPC Branson’s values and beliefs.
• ASSIST in planning and coordinating special events such as Vacation Bible School, family retreats, social outings, and holiday celebrations.
• COMMUNICATE: Keep Session informed and involved in the outreach process with regularly scheduled written reports on the outreach ministry.
• MAINTAIN a safe and welcoming environment for students and families embracing and celebrating the generational diversity of our congregation. Adhere to all state, local, and FPC Branson child protection policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
• The applicant needs to affirm and agree with the Essential Tenets of ECO and have a personal commitment and testimony of faith in Jesus Christ that conforms to the Essential Tenets of ECO.
• Experience working with students and families in a church or community outreach setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and social media platforms
• Pass a Missouri background check and be vetted on social media platforms

We are God's stewards over 1 ½ city blocks of property onwhich stand Branson's first church "The Old Stone Church", our main building (sanctuary & fellowship hall), education building (10 classrooms & offices), and a small office building
