MinistryHub is honored to partner with MBPC in their search for a Director of Youth and Christian Education. Please direct all applications through MinistryHub and any inquiries to hello@ministryhub.org.
As a gospel-driven church, Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church (MBPC) views everything through the lens of the two great commandments - love God and love your neighbor. MBPC is dedicated to nurturing Gospel values in Mountain Brook and the greater Birmingham area.
With over 150 years of history, MBPC has built a lasting legacy in the surrounding community and discipled countless people who seek to know Jesus and take the Gospel into the world beyond the church walls.
MBPC hosts a worship service that leans traditional. However, over the past three years, MBPC has sought to faithfully and artfully implement contemporary components into the service - especially its musical components which seem to hit all the right notes (pun intended!) of balancing the “oldies but goodies” with vibrant and joyful contemporary music.
MBPC has a fun staff team, about 100 in weekly attendance and is located in a great area. Also, the beautiful 10 acre church campus provides excellent opportunities to serve the local community.
MBPC has been blessed with small, but steady growth in its congregation and worship services. As a result, more and more children are coming through the doors. As such, MBPC is seeking a Director of Youth and Christian Education who has the maturity, energy and creativity to help MBPC grow its youth and children’s ministry and help kids and students become strong disciples of Jesus. We are seeking someone who can exemplify the joy of our faith and help steer our younger members in the joyful direction of a walk with Christ.
There is opportunity for additional pastoral leadership, such as teaching and preaching. The Director of Youth and Christian Education will report directly to the Senior Pastor.
