Job description

To lead all facets of the Children's Ministry (CM), Nursery through Elementary, and Special Needs, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment. To continually lead and inspire children, families, and leaders as we pastor a generation of children to know God intimately and understand what it means to live the life God intended, operating in the power of the Holy Spirit, doing the work of Jesus in the earth, and leading others to do the same.


You are part of one team taking ownership and responsibility for the care and keeping of this house. You stay willing and eager to serve in big and small ways, from welcoming guests to picking up trash.


Children's Ministry Responsibilities
  1. Cascade vision to ministry leads and volunteers regarding direction, values, mission, policies, procedures, and purpose as communicated by Campus Pastors and Executive Directors of Children's Ministry.
  2. Collaborate and strategize with Victory Directors on the execution of vision casting, ministry changes, updates, developments, events, growth, leadership, policies, procedures, safety, discipleship, creative ministry elements and team health.
  3. Participate in strategic planning meetings with Central Children's Ministry Leadership to discuss policies, ministry activities, and events as requested.
  4. Assist in development of communication training materials and ministry policies and procedures.
  5. Meet, collaborate and strategize with Victory Kids Campus Directors, Victory Kids Central Ministries Team and Midtown Pastors to discuss policies, ministry activities, and events as requested.
  6. Equip leaders with visionary and innovative teaching, programs, leadership tools, strategic thinking methods, and discipleship.
  7. Collaborate with Victory Kids Central ministries team to execute themes throughout Victory Kids Ministries, by designing, organizing, planning, shopping and coordinating with Victory Kids staff and volunteers to create themed vignettes and family experiences.
  8. Provide guidance, direction and updates for all leader and volunteers to understand the policies and procedures related to ministry functions and emergency situations.
  9. Recruit, onboard, coordinate, train, develop and evaluate volunteers and leaders for various roles and responsibilities.
  10. Plan and prepare meeting cadence with leaders to build camaraderie, inform, impart knowledge and skills to grow, encourage and empower them to maintain individual and ministry momentum to continually advance the ministry.
  11. Prepare for lessons and ministry for multiple Sunday services.
  12. Plan, prepare, and lead outings and small-group opportunities to build relationships and create community for the volunteers and leaders.
  13. Coordinate and oversee organization, cleaning, and disinfecting of classroom items.
  14. Communicate regularly with volunteers and leaders on specific announcements, trainings, etc.
  15. Coordinate with other Children's Ministry staff and teams as needed for church-wide events.
  16. Utilize Church Management software to setup and schedule volunteers for serving opportunities.
  17. Manage systematic check-in in Victory's Church Management Software and inform IT of any issues that occur.
  18. Steward God's resources by managing financial responsibilities, reviewing monthly budgets, completing, approving and submitting credit card reports in a timely manner and completing fiscal department, capital, and event budget worksheets.
Campus Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate childcare for campus events.
  2. Participate in rotation of pastoral care responsibilities.
  3. Assist with coordinating Campus-related events and initiatives.
  4. Fulfill inventory request as needed.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Leadership or Education.
  2. 5+ years full-time children's ministry experience.
  3. 2+ years in a leadership role in a similar environment.
  4. 2+ years public speaking/teaching experience.
  5. Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
  6. Reliable transportation to travel between campuses.
  7. Proficient in Mac environment and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
