Bivocational Worship Minister

Indian Springs First Baptist Church is seeking a Bivocational Worship Minister. This position is responsible to the Pastor and the church for leading the musical portion of the worship services and overseeing a comprehensive church music program.

We are located south of Birmingham in the Indian Springs Village Township, a flourishing community in desirable North Shelby County near Oak Mountain State Park. We serve a congregation of approximately 120 members.

Qualifications

- Committed disciple of Jesus Christ, seeking to know, love, and serve God & neighbor, and also committed to continual spiritual growth
- Ability to lead, inspire, and engage the congregation during the worship experience
- Music background by education or experience and teaching ability sufficient to coach and guide all the members of the music ministry to continually enhance their musical skills
- Familiarity with modern Christian music as well as more traditional styles of music in a blended worship format
- Experience as a worship leader
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills required to effectively collaborate with both the church staff and administrators as well as the other members of the music ministry
- Ability to maintain music library, materials, supplies, musical instruments, and other equipment.
