Bethany Location Lead Pastor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach, shepherd, worship and pray with and for the Bethany congregation.
• Provide for and oversee the regular Sunday Teaching and worship experience of the Bethany location Study and collaborate with the BCC Teaching Team on sermon series, weekly messages, and resources for spiritual formation
• Develop, oversee and encourage congregant leaders, staff and volunteers
• Engage the Local Oversight Team to lead and care for the community, to grow as disciples and to grow a thriving and financially sustaining local Bethany church community
• Collaborates with staff and volunteers to provide for the faith formation of children, youth and their families, as well as adults
• Identify and develop new volunteers, leaders and resources to facilitate a growing community
• Provide leadership, shepherding and management of staff, volunteers and ministries
• Establish and nurture local mission and outreach partners in the community, and a positive presence in the local neighborhood
• Provide leadership and management of the Bethany location
• Steward and manage the Bethany location budget with excellence
• Drive excellence in ministry operations: communications, financial stewardship, volunteer engagement, worship experience, safety, facilities.
• Provide accurate and timely information regarding Location Traits of Health
• Lead the integration of the Bethany location with Bethany-wide ministries. Collaborate with, engage and communicate about All Bethany ministries to include Racial Justice & Reconciliation, Missions, Wilderness, and the priorities of Bethany’s Vision 2030.
• Perform other duties as the situation requires or as assigned, as a member of the staff of Bethany Community Church.
