Job Description
Position Summary:
The Associate Pastor will be responsible for developing a ministry to reach, disciple, and equip young parents to become spiritual leaders in the home, the church, and the community and to develop and oversee the children and youth ministries of the church.
Salary:
Full-time (40 hours a week, appx $28 an hour) $60,000
Requirements:
Responsibilities
To develop and lead the ministries to young families by developing ministries to reach and disciple young families in the community and to develop and lead youth ministries for grade school and high school-aged children.

Training:
The Associate will be involved in all areas of ministry to gain ministry experience in preaching and teaching as well as involvement in program development and operation to provide practical experience in pastoral ministry.
The Associate will be assigned the following books to read and interact with the pastor for the purpose of spiritual and ministry growth. These books will be discussed in-depth with the pastor.

The Rural Church
The God of Small Places
The Associate’s wife will be assigned the assigned books to read and interact with the pastor’s wife in order to equip her for the challenges and opportunities in ministry as the wife of a rural pastor.
