Job description

About Us

Remnant Christian Schools (RCS) is a small but growing private Christian school entering our third year of operation. We are passionate about fostering a joyful, engaging learning environment where students are known, loved, and challenged to grow in both character and knowledge. Our class sizes are intentionally small — typically 10 to 14 students, to ensure each child receives personalized attention.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and faith-driven middle school teacher who:

  • Loves children and are passionate about seeing them grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
  • Thrives in an active, engaging environment — willing to creatively adapt lessons, try new strategies, and continually evaluate how to best meet student needs.
  • Lives out a strong Christian faith, serving as example of Christ-like character to students and families.
  • Partners closely with parents to shape students into fruitful adults who are prepared to glorify Christ in all they do.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (required).
  • Formal teaching certificate not required — passion, skill, and experience are valued most.
  • Proficient Biblical knowledge and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Ability to create a positive, disciplined, and joyful classroom culture.
  • Flexibility and desire for feedback and growth.
  • Commitment to working as a team member within a growing school.

Responsibilities

  • Finalize and adapt curriculum plans creatively to meet the needs of all students across multiple grade levels (5th and 6th).
  • Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding the growth, challenges, and achievements of your students.
  • Track and document student progress to ensure consistent academic, spiritual, and personal development.
  • Participate in training sessions to prepare for the upcoming school year.
  • Attend school events such as open houses, parent meetings, and special programs to build strong community relationships.

Position Details

  • Class sizes between 10–14 students (maximum of 15).
  • Pay: $42,000–$44,000, commensurate with experience
  • Insurance benefits are not currently offered but will be evaluated in future years as the school grows.

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: Meaningful work shaping the next generation for Christ.
  • Community: A loving, family-centered environment with strong support from leadership and parents.
  • Growth: As a growing school, there are opportunities for professional development, leadership roles, and helping shape the future of the school.
  • Fulfillment: A career where your passion for teaching and your faith can thrive together.

We look forward to meeting the passionate, mission-minded teachers God is calling to join our team!
