Modern Worship Music Leader
Reports To: The Modern Worship MusicLeader will report to the Pastor Staff, mainly the pastor who oversees the Modern Worship.
Job Overview: The Modern Worship Music Leader is a part-time position that will work closely with the pastoral staff and will oversee all music aspects of the Holy Cross Modern Worship Service. This team member will oversee putting together the worship music teams, auditioning new members, leading practices, leading worship on Sunday mornings, and special services. This team member will also have input in the overall vision of the service, will be encouraged to create and try new and creative things and help to create an atmosphere where the presence of God is the top priority.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Recruit and/or develop new musicians, singers, to sufficiently carry out the weekly and future needs of our modern worship.
Schedule worship volunteers and establish and lead regular practices for preparation for Sunday morning worship service.
Build relationships, provide spiritual care, and facilitate spiritual development in worship volunteers.
Coordinate with the pastors to build the overall worship service each Sunday
Coordinate with the audio/visual team to cultivate an atmosphere of excellence.
Work with pastors, leaders, and volunteers to manage growth and plan for future needs of this service.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiar with most popular modern contemporary worship music and effective in discovering new worship music.
Strong musical ability, including vocal skills and proficiency in playing one or more instruments.
Music theory proficiency/understanding with ability to provide vocal and instrumental direction.
A basic aptitude for operating sound equipment and ProPresenter
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Humble servant who can work with others well and is willing to learn from others.
A heart to lead people in worship and not just lead a worship service.
Ability to clearly embrace and facilitate the style of worship expected, gain exposure from various resources, interpret the Pastor's vision, and integrate it into our worship experiences.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $1,600.00 per month
Expected hours: 15 per week
